Il chiacchierato duo accasato presso la benemerita Fire Records, riesce a costruire un mondo sonoro complesso e nel contempo diretto. L' iniziale approccio glaciale alla ricerca sonora ha da poco lasciato spazio a nuove contaminazioni, incorniciate perfettamente dalla splendida voce di Alice Merida Richards. Stereolab, Broadcast e Yellow Magic Orchestra sono le influenze più o meno citate, ma il duo ci regala qualcosa di più, qualcosa di estremamente personale ed originale.

Virginia Wing are a Manchester based group. They released 5 albums and we had the pleasure to book a tour for them here in Italy after their beautiful "Forward Constant Motion" and their fourth release "Tomorrow's gift". Thanks to their amazing label Fire Records, they have released a new great album "Ecstatic Arrow", which finds them in a place of renewed strength, optimism and clarity. It borrows from the heterogeneous terrain of The Flying Lizard’s Fourth Wall, the exuberant technology assisted pop of Yellow Magic Orchestra and the playful sophistication of Lizzy Mercier Descloux’s Press Colour, arriving at the evergreen intersection of pop music and conceptual art.
